Happy 5th Birthday!

Again-I am a slacker and have not posted about this spunky lady's big day! She is 5 and is oh so smart and sassy. Nothing gets past this gal. She got to have a friend party this year and had so much fun playing with everyone. The famous Aunt Jessie cake-she wanted a castle just like Alex's only with pink and purple.

My not-so-fabulous cupcake cake...We'll let Jessie do the culinary creating from now on.

Here are a few tidbits about Samster:

• She loves to garden and is a fantastic weed-puller (and flower picker for that matter).
• She is daddy's helper-she would much rather tag along with him doing his jobs than be inside playing.
• She loves making inventions with her legos and tinker toys.
• She is a phenomenal colorer and enjoys creating art to hang around the house
• She makes up great songs-she comes up with the tune and words all by herself and sings to us.
• She loves camping and being outside...and she is a fantastic hiker. Last summer she hiked about 9 miles in one day without any help...she is a little trooper.
• She is a great helper and would really like to be the mom sometimes much to Alex's dismay.
• She makes fantastic silly faces and can roll her eyes with the best of them (sometimes it is really fun and other times-not so much-I'm a little worried about her teenage years).
• She loves grown up make-up and is obsessed with getting her ears pierced like her friends at school. Oh dear.
