The 'Higher' Trick

Well-I finally took some shoddy video of 'The Higher Trick' (as the girls have dubbed it). This event happens about every night at our house. Jared generally tries to bargain and do only a certain number of jumps because these girls are not so light my friends-Alex is a brick!--but that is generally met with begging and puppy dog eyes and dad conceding to just a couple more jumps. The footage doesn't do it justice...it is like watching little flying frogs with big affro hair-if there ever was such a thing.

Really?!

Well it's going to be one of those weeks folks! We're off to a phenomenal start at our house. Yesterday Sam decided to bloody her sister's nose when Alex tried to tell her she was older than her big sister. (By the way, this is the 2nd time that has happened, last time it was ON THE WAY to getting our family pictures taken-blessed. Thankfully Alex was in red and pink). And today, Sam decided to get her school scissors out for a project-which fell into the wrong hands of course-and Alex is now sporting her self-inflicted, new-do. Thankfully most of her hair was pulled back, but all those cute baby hairs framing her face and those darn bangs we've been trying to grow out for months are lovingly trimmed into a nice, short, spike in the front. Yay. Throw me a bone someone!

Happy Birthday Wonderful!

It is the man's birthday today. We just want to let him know he is absolutely fabulous. He is one of those guys that make the little things count. Like doing small chores when he sees something is out of place, without being asked. I love that he enjoys helping with the yard and gardening. He is awesome with his hands-always building something or coming up with little inventions or solutions to make things run smoother at our house. But most of all-he is always finding ways to include the girls and let them help with things. He takes time to read books and build Lego towers. Their favorite lately are the acrobatic tricks he does with them. "Dad, can we do the 'higher' thing before bed?" Every night they have to pile the pillows high on our bed and have dad fly them from the doorway, clear onto our bed. Alex looks like a frog in the air and Sam has about hit the ceiling fan a couple times. I need to get some video footage. It is the funniest thing to watch! Such a simple thing-but a fun thing. Love it. We love you honey! Have a great day! Thanks for working so hard to support us and for showing love always-we are so blessed!

My Little Lucky Charms

Need I say more? Look at these little darlings. Love them to bits. I certainly feel super lucky to have such beautiful, spunky, happy girls. (And a cute husband not pictured that is working his little buns off these days-oh blessed tax season)
St. Patty's is one of my favorite holidays-maybe it is the green (my favorite color) or the celtic pride in our family-with all the red hair and such-who knows. We enjoy it at our house. My darling friend Sheri had a great idea to make the kiddos t-shirts from this tutorial. I think the technique needs a bit of perfecting-we probably left the bleach on too long, but we sure had fun.
PS The man won't touch the green milk-I'm not sure what is wrong with green milk-the leprechaun thought we would like it-apparently someone has a bit of OCD or some greenaphobia I didn't know about.
