Olsen Family Campout

I've been meaning to post about this forever, but alas, I've been procrastinating. We had a great time at the annual Olsen Family campout and I thought I better post before our pics disappear (I accidentally erased them last year-EEK)! We had a great time-thanks Jackie & Wayne!We had a fun activity painting shirts. Needless to say, Spencer and Sam got a little creative with the painting.
I know that kids get dirty camping, and I'm all for a little dirt, but jeez-o-pete! These kiddos were so covered in dust and dirt and lunch that I couldn't handle it! So we improvised with a rubbermaid tote. It was even heated! What luxury!Alex attempting to shoot a marshmallow. We have marshmallow wars each year to see who can shoot them the farthest. It is pretty fun to watch, and even more fun to eat the ammo!

Mesmerized

Our darling friends, The Fetters', came for a visit from Minneapolis. Their little gal Maya and Sam are 2 peas in a pod. Gotta love body parts in the mouth. They were completely mesmerized by the show they were watching (I think it was Cars)...so much so that they were completely oblivious to my photo taking.

Yellowstone-Finally

So I'm finally getting to some Yellowstone pics. We went with some of our family and close friends over the 4th and had a blast! I just have to say that camping wiht a trailer is so divine when you have small children! I know camping is all about being dirty and one with nature...and I'm all about that...but I'll tell you what...a little scrub-a-dub-dub in the 2 ft tub works wonders to keep little dirt mongers looking more like children throughout the trip!

Sam wanted to go biking so badly, Grandma Lori rigged her backpack to be a little kid carrier. I don't think it was super comfortable after about 5 minutes, but Sam dug it and really enjoyed tagging along!

My mom and sister at Mesa Falls...LOVE this waterfall! It is so scenic and green!
