Blessings All Around!

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! We love all of you and are so thankful for great family and friends to share life's ups and downs with. We feel so blessed!
Sam made this masterpiece at preschool last week. It looked a lot more like a turkey before she came home and gave it a make-over. What an imagination!

Blow Out City

We woke up this morning to a lovely gift from Alex...a full on blowout from leg to leg and up the back. Not quite as bad as this, but I think it can be compared when your child is old enough to have chunks along with it. I know...TMI...but now you are all there with me, smelling and feeling the magic of these moments (at least those of you that have children).

ANIMAL CONTROL

Cousin Lucas (about 7 months) crawls up to inspect Sam's lego tower, when Sam starts exclaiming "animal control...I need animal control over here. Uncle Spencer taught me that." Uncle Spencer says that whenever small children are getting into something they shouldn't be and now my child has picked it up. Lovely! But they could be saying much naughtier things...So Spence...here's to you you little devil. My kids learn such wonderous things from you.

More Halloween Fun

My dear friend Ashlee had the grand idea to have a little Halloween party for the kids. So we got together Halloween morning, all gussied up, and had some Halloween fun! They painted pumpkins, made ghost suckers, pinned the spider on the spider web, and decorated cookies. We tried musical chairs-word to the wise-not such a great idea with 3 year olds...every time the music stopped and someone was left without a chair-the bawling began..so that game was a bit of a no-go. But they all had a pretty darn good time! Thanks Ash for planning another great event!

The mad dash-Grace in the front left corner would have nothing to do with the pictures...she made a dash the moment we said cheese! It's a bit difficult to get a great shot with a bunch of toddlers!
'Painting pumpkins' with sharpies...Decorating cookies-it was quite the creative process for Sam! She carefully frosted and frosted and frosted! Long after everyone else was done. The final masterpiece. Oh Dear....

Yay for Halloween!

Halloween was wild for us this year. Sam was so excited and she has been set on being a purple butterfly for weeks now (not just any butterfly-a purple one). She got to dress up 3 days in a row and never tired of it! It was so funny, but the first day we got her dressed up and got her wings on, she turned to me and asked 'OK mom, now how do I fly?'. I didn't quite know what to say! But she figured it out on her own and has been jumping around ever since. In fact she is still running around and flying without the costume. Alex did pretty well with her costume-she didn't know if she would like it the 1st time she wore it, but was OK after that. We'll post a few more tomorrow of their fun little halloween party...Practicing flying...Sam decided that mom needed a paint job too...
