Trying to Smile

Poor little thing. Trying so hard to smile. Sad little red-rimmed eyes and red nose. I hate colds! And this one is a bear...one of those that runs and runs and runs until your little nose is chapped and peeling and your eyes are watering because it tickles when it just drips and runs (Sam had it last week). Still happy, but so miserable at the same time.

Beauty Queens

Dress-ups are a definite favorite at our house. The combinations can get pretty wild and interesting! Especially when they help each other! Alex tends to gravity to the same ratty, pink, lacy dress. I don't know how many times I've mended it, but it will be a sad day when it dies or she grows out of it.

Off Sewing

I have been in a bit of a sewing frenzy lately. Another excuse for lack of posting. I have to admit that I kind of enjoy being holed up in my house during the winter for that reason. I have an excuse to stay in my pajamas all day long and enjoy some much needed crafting time. So here are a couple things I've been working on. I'm no fabulous seamstress like some of my other super-talented friends, but it is fun to play around. A few are overdue Christmas projects...I always seem to want to make more than I actually have time for during the holidays...but they get done eventually (smile). I'm currently working on valentine projects and new bedspreads for the girls. They have yet to have any sort of decor that matches their walls and I finally found the perfect fabric. Love it when that happens. So those will be coming soon.Every little girl needs a kitchen apron for pretending or for helping mom. I just kind of made up a pattern and went for it. We gave them to the girls' friends for Christmas.
Poor Sam was complaining a while back that her beloved blanket was too small for her to fit under. 'Mom I have to squish up in a ball to fit under it'. So I finally made her a new one. Not anything fancy, but definitely soft, comfy, and LARGE. At least for now. Man they grow up fast!

In Other News

A bit of an explanation as to why I have been so lackadaisical in posting these days. See below. That's right people, we are expecting Redhead Numero 3 sometime at the beginning of June. We just had our 20 week ultrasound today and everything looks great! We decided to add a little excitement and be surprised this time, so no word on which flavor yet (or how long the surprise will last-with Alex the ultrasound tech spilled the beans at 35 weeks). I think Jared secretly hopes and believes that maybe if he waits, he'll have a better chance of having a boy. We'll let you know how that works out for him.

New Family Pics

We had a few family photos snapped in December. I just got them back from our DARLING and UBER TALENTED Photographer-Camille Stewart (T&C Photography below on my frequented blogs). I absolutely love her. She is so savvy with a camera. She always does such a fabulous job finding cool places to take them, getting great shots of the girls (which for Alex-is a challenge), and just-WOW-everything. So thanks Camille-We'll be making you some fabulous cookies soon (although it will take about 10 batches to even come close to the thanks you deserve). PS she has others on her blog...displayed much savvier than these.

Many Posts....

OK-I fell off the wagon again...or the horse...whichever you prefer. My resolution is to post more consistently. I'm not promising how much because, lets face it, I'll probably fail...but we'll give it a go. So here we are...backlogging posts. Wahoo. Enjoy. More to come. We'll see how long it takes me.

Sam's Snowman

We finally got out and created the perfect snowman. He's an Aggie fan (a must at our house) and has a big heart (thanks to Sam), and he's about 6'5' (Jared was feeling a little lonely at his altitude).
